An RPBio or BIT may apply to change thier status at the start of each calendar year.
Ret. - Retired
Available to an RPBio or RBTech who is no longer practicing applied biology in either a paid or volunteer capacity and does not expect to do so in the future. Upon acceptance to Retired status the member must return their seal to the College as it remains the property of the College (per section 13.6 of the Rules).
On Leave - Temporary Withdrawal
Available to an registered and enrolled members who are no longer practicing applied biology in either a paid or volunteer capacity because of a return to school to upgrade their skills, maternity/paternity leave or for medical reasons, but who intends to return to the profession within 5 years. Application for for Temporary Withdrawal status must be made to the Registrar before the start of each fiscal year (January).
How To Change Your Status
1. Send in a short letter to the Registrar of your request to change your status, and
2. Complete the Change of Status Form and include it with the letter to the Registrar
