The Oregon Spotted Frog Recovery Team will be holding two sessions of their annual spring amphibian identification training in March (March 12th and 13th, 2019). The two sessions will cover the same material, just on different days. Participants will have the opportunity to learn amphibian egg mass identification, habitat preferences, and hands-on Red-legged Frog and Oregon Spotted Frog differentiation and handling techniques.
These training sessions are intended for people who are likely to come into contact with frogs, including ditch maintenance crews and surveyors, as well as other environmental staff or contractors. All those interested in this opportunity are welcome to join, however, space on site is limited. RSVP is mandatory.
We will meet in the parking lot of the Sasquatch Inn, Harrison Mills, at 10am and convoy to the site. You can expect to be back at the Sasquatch by 12:30pm.
