Are you tired of using outdated data systems to submit, access and analyze species inventory data? The Ministries of Environment (ENV) and Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD) would like to introduce you to BiodiversityHub BC (or “BioHub BC”) - a system currently under development to support the collection, management, access and analysis of aquatic and terrestrial species and habitat inventory in the province of British Columbia.
BiodiversityHub BC will replace several existing information systems used for fish and wildlife data, including SPI/WSI and the fish data systems. It will become the Province’s official source of species inventory field data for both internal and external stakeholders. Regional Biologists and other government stakeholders have helped define the requirements for this system, and we are now undertaking the important task of understanding what external consultants and researchers require from this system.
Please register for one of our scheduled Webinars to learn more about BiodiversityHub and to discuss functions which can assist you with your data collection of species and habitat inventory.
The Webinar will be limited to 20 attendees. If you are unable to register because the attendance limit has been reached, please send an email to Robin Munro ([email protected]). Additional Webinars may be scheduled if there is sufficient interest.
