This is part of a new Wildfire and Climate Change Winter/Spring 2019 Webinar Series

Speaker: Susan Prichard, Research Scientist, School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, University of Washington Susan will share her research on the effects of fire and other disturbances on forest dynamics; climatic change on forest ecosystems; and fuel treatment options to mitigate wildfire effects, with an emphasis on inland forests.

These webinars expand on the learnings from the 2018 Kootenay Wildfire and Climate Change conference. The topics include landscape and community scale wildfire risk reduction and climate change, and the examples span the province.

Anyone interested in wildfire risk reduction in BC will benefit from these webinars – natural resource and wildfire managers and practitioners; local government staff and elected officials; and keen community members.
