Webinar, 1:00pm-2:00pm EST (note the time zone)

Today’s bridges and culverts have a problem. Many of today’s bridges and culverts have a substantial negative impact on our natural resources and ecological systems. Additionally, more frequent extreme hydraulic events are damaging transportation networks. The focus of this webinar will be on improving the sustainability and resilience of buried structures. Buried structures, commonly referred to as buried bridges or culverts, are common type of bridges used across Canada which can be rapidly constructed for a cost typically 33 to 67% lower compared to beam bridges.

At the end of the webinar, participants will better be able to:
• Understand when buried structures are viable and advantageous;
• Understand how to improve the resilience and sustainability of buried structures.
