If you have applied as an RPBio you will be sent a letter confirming your receipt of your application and access information to an on line page listing all documents received and any that are still outstanding.  If you have applied for any other category you will receive an email confirming receipt of the application and notification of any required application documents that are outstanding. At present member’s cannot change their password or log in information.  If you have forgotten your password you can request the information by completing the request password page at https://www.cab-bc.org/user/password.

To apply for membership in the College please go to the Membership Categories page.  This page on the College’s website provides you with detailed information regarding the submission of an application.  If you have questions that are not answered in this section please email [email protected] for further information.

CPD or Continuing Professional development information can be found at https://www.cab-bc.org/page/continuing-professional-development. Information regarding payment of dues can be accessed at https://www.cab-bc.org/page/membership-fees.  If you are a current member you can pay your outstanding dues at https://www.cab-bc.org/payment-forms/college-dues.

The College does not have the resources to complete pre-assessments of applications.  The College has developed a self-assessment tool (http://open-accreditation.cab-bc.org) to assist potential applicants in determining if their education will meet the academic requirements necessary for Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) or Biologist in Training (BIT) status. Meeting all the requirements outlined in this tool will not guarantee certification.  Assessment by the Credentials Committee will still be required. 

No. As a regulatory body, the College has the option of charging GST and has chosen not to do so.

Work experience is not accepted as a substitute for required courses.
