Part C: Professional Work Examples

Reports: The applicant must submit at least one (1) but not more than three (3) reports or published articles in applied biology written following completion of the undergraduate degree. Draft reports will not be accepted. Post-graduate degree theses on applied biology topics that have been accepted by the degree granting institution may be accepted as professional reports. Where a report has multiple authors, the role of the applicant must have an authorship declaration.

Scientific Communications

Scientific Communications: The applicant must submit at least one document that adequately demonstrates their ability to convey scientific information in applied biology to a non-expert audience (e.g., public, non-technical, or non-expert audience). Examples may include Powerpoint presentations with notes, poster presentations. brochures, non-technical public reports etc.

In order to meet the scientific communication work example requirement, submit an example of work in which you took scientific information and presented it to a general audience. Examples include:

  • PowerPoint presentation at a public meeting or client meeting, with speaking notes
  • PowerPoint presentation to colleagues regarding project outcomes, with speaking notes
  • Brochure or non-technical note focused at the public
  • Briefing note to decision-maker
  • Poster-board presentation at a conference or symposium
  • Other example may be submitted if it meets the criteria

This form allows upload of one document. If additional documents are needed, submit multiple copies of the form.
