An applicant for membership in the College of Applied Biology has selected you to provide a Confidential Reference in support of their application for Applied Biology Technician (A.B.T.) status. An A.B.T. is someone with a certificate in a specific practice area or a number of courses equal to or greater than 200 hours of academic training. Both types of applicants must have 1 year of work experience following completion of course work. The College also recognizes the skills and knowledge gained over a minimum of 3 years in a particular area of practice as meeting the requirements for the ABT category.
The Credentials Committee uses the reference letters to assist in evaluating the applicant's character, integrity, work ethic, and competence, and to validate work history. You may provide a confidential reference if you have known the applicant for a minimum of 6 months. Please be fair and honest when completing this form, and when supplying any other information. Once you have completed this form, enclose it and any supporting information in an envelope with your signature across the back flap to ensure confidentiality. Please mail the envelope directly to the College office. Please note that in the event of an appeal, reference information may be made available to the applicant.
