2015 College Conference & AGM

The 2015 College Conference will take place at the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport on March 13th. It will feature presentations and panel discussions exploring the changing roles of local governments and First Nations in the management of BC's natural resources, as well as an engaging session on science and policy advocacy. A number of speakers and panelists have already been confirmed for the event, and a preliminary agenda will be released later this month. The early-bird registration deadline of January 23 is quickly approaching.

Dr. Robert T. Lackey, professor of fisheries science and adjunct professor of political science at Oregon State University, will deliver a keynote address on science and policy advocacy.

Other presenters and panelists confirmed to date include:

  • Jeff Green (MSc, RPBio, PBiol), Vice President, National Discipline Leader of Environmental Services Canada at Stantec Consulting Ltd.
  • Susan Pinkus (RPBio), Senior Environmental Coordinator at BC Hydro, former Senior Scientists at ¬†Ecojustice
  • Josie Osborne, Mayor of the District of Tofino and former College member
  • Brian Clark (RPBio) Environmental Advisor at Pacific NorthWest LNG
  • Chris Addison (RPBio), Director of Resource Management (Peace-Liard), BC Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations
