College posts update on the status of applied biology in BC
The College of Applied Biology is posting a report on the status of applied biology in BC dated February 5, 2021. This report was submitted as part of discussion materials ahead of previous meetings with the BC Ministry of Attorney General and the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development.
The report summarizes what presently constitutes the practice of applied biology in BC, how the profession has evolved over time, where applied biology activities overlap with other natural resource professionals in BC, and details some next steps for the profession as it moves towards the establishment of reserved practice.
