Statement Regarding Registration of Applied Biology Professionals According to the Labour Mobility Act and the New West Partnership Trade Agreement Under Reserved Practice Regulation in BC

The College of Applied Biology and the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (ASPB) conform with the Labour Mobility Act (LMA) and comply with the obligations of the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA). There will be no change to the registration process for Professional Biologists (P.Biol’s) registering with the College as a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) or RPBios registering with ASPB as a result of reserved practice coming into effect in BC on September 1, 2022.

Any questions regarding registration with the College should be sent to the Registrar’s Office by emailing [email protected]. Likewise, questions regarding membership with the ASPB should be referred to the Registrar by emailing [email protected].
