The College’s 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Conference was held on April 7-8, 2022 at the Delta Ocean Pointe Hotel in Victoria, BC.
The theme of the College of Applied Biology's 2022 Conference was "The Path Forward: Resilience, Reconciliation and Reserved Practice." Read on for the full agenda and information about the speakers and panels.
Registrants had the opportunity to participate in both the conference and the AGM through a live web broadcast. Registrants who attend the AGM will be eligible to claim to 2 Continuing Professional Development points and participation in the Conference will be valued at 7 points. More information about CPD can be found here. Conference registration is non-refundable and non-transferable after April 4, 2022.

Registration
Registering for the College's 2022 AGM & Conference is easy. Simply navigate to the College's portal, log-in, and select the 2022 Conference from the Events section.
You'll be able to select your ticket, choose add-ons for additional opportunities to participate, and check out -- all within the portal! If you don't have a profile on the College's portal, that's ok. You can sign up with your name and email and then access the event registration as normal. When you register for an online ticket to the Conference, you should receive a registration link from GoToWebinar on the same day. If you do not receive your registration link, please contact the College office.
Registration for the AGM is free. If you want to participate in the 2022 AGM online, you will sign up separately through GoToWebinar. Click the button below to register. Please note that you must register for the AGM in order to receive the link to join the session.

2022 Annual General Meeting
The 2022 Annual General Meeting occurred on April 7, 2022 at 4pm. The AGM was in-person at the Delta Ocean Pointe Hotel in Victoria, BC, but you could have also registered for an online broadcast of the meeting.
The 2021 AGM minutes, Annual Report, Audited Financial Statements and other materials were reviewed during the meeting. Instructions for how to participate in the College’s webinars can be found in this guide.

The College is pleased to welcome Eli Enns, Co-Founder and President of The IISAAK OLAM Foundation as keynote speaker at the 2022 conference
Eli's keynote speech will present concepts such as ethical space, resilience, the importance of Indigenous Knowledge systems beyond ecological practices, all with the overarching need for interconnectedness and understanding. Eli's keynote will also touch on current events and his learnings from Indigenous Elders about restoring balance.
Eli is an internationally recognized expert in Indigenous-led conservation. From Tla-o-qui-aht Nation on his father’s side, and of Dutch Mennonite heritage on his mother’s side, Eli promotes holistic solutions for community and ecosystem health and well-being. With a background in political science, Eli is a ‘Nation-builder’ with values and approaches rooted in Indigenous economic theory and practice.
